style="color: #000000;">We are already done learning the wrestling fundamentals on our previous post. So, basically we already know the basics on how wrestling should be done correctly. Now it’s time for us to learn some of the common freestyle wrestling moves that can always be seen when we watch freestyle wrestling shows and bout. Though we always see these on TV, some of us did not even know the name of those moves that sometimes we even replicate when we do wrestling. If you want to know more and be better on wrestling, then you should learn the <a
href="http://www.wrestling.com.au/?page_id=139" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">freestyle wrestling</a> moves. You will practice on how it is done properly first so that you can use it if you will compete on a wrestling match.</span><span
id="more-181"></span></p><p><strong><span
style="color: #000000;">Let’s get started now by learning the common freestyle wrestling moves we have listed below:</span></strong></p><ul><li><h2><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Ankle lock<img
class="aligncenter wp-image-184" src="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-ankle-lock.png?9018d1" alt="freestyle wrestling - ankle lock" width="581" height="287" srcset="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-ankle-lock.png 713w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-ankle-lock-300x148.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 581px) 100vw, 581px" /></strong></span></h2></li></ul><p><span
style="color: #000000;">Ankle lock is perform by seizing the ankle of your opponent and locks it. You should seize it tightly so that you have strong grab to its ankle and take him down properly. Your opponent should be forced onto the back so you can grab his ankle and foot for you to twist it easily. Doing this will force your opponent’s shoulder to be on the ground when you elevate his ankle while holding it tightly because it is so painful for him/her.</span></p><ul><li><h2><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Leg lock</strong></span></h2><p><img
class="aligncenter wp-image-186" src="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-leg-lock.png?9018d1" alt="freestyle wrestling - leg lock" width="500" height="373" srcset="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-leg-lock.png 876w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-leg-lock-300x224.png 300w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-leg-lock-768x573.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></li></ul><p><span
style="color: #000000;">Leg lock is the same with ankle lock that you will have to make your opponent lie down on the floor. When he/she is already lying, you will now then grab his legs and hold it tightly towards your body. You should be sitting on his butt area to have more control on his legs. This will be too painful for him because of the tightness and the extension you are doing to his legs. This move might force your opponent to a submission that will lead to his defeat.</span></p><ul><li><h2><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Headlock</strong></span></h2><p><img
class="aligncenter wp-image-187" src="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-head-lock.png?9018d1" alt="freestyle wrestling - head lock" width="452" height="418" srcset="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-head-lock.png 708w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-head-lock-300x278.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 452px) 100vw, 452px" /></li></ul><p><span
style="color: #000000;">Headlock is the most common finishing move in wrestling. It is done by placing your arms tightly on the neck and head area of the opponent. This is a critical move that needs proper execution to prevent an accident because it involves the grabbing of the neck and the head that is a critical area of the body.</span></p><ul><li><h2><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Suplex</strong></span></h2><p><img
class="aligncenter wp-image-188" src="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-suplex.png?9018d1" alt="freestyle wrestling - suplex" width="500" height="416" srcset="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-suplex.png 785w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-suplex-300x250.png 300w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-suplex-768x640.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></li></ul><p><span
style="color: #000000;">Suplex is the grabbing of the opponent’s waist tightly using both of your arms. After you grab his waist, lift him/her to a high level then fall forward onto him/her. This move really needs a great strength from you so that you can lift your opponent properly.</span></p><ul><li><h2><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Leg sweep</strong></span></h2><p><img
class="aligncenter wp-image-189" src="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-leg-sweep.png?9018d1" alt="freestyle wrestling - leg sweep" width="506" height="339" srcset="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-leg-sweep.png 950w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-leg-sweep-300x201.png 300w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/freestyle-wrestling-leg-sweep-768x515.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 506px) 100vw, 506px" /></li></ul><p><span
style="color: #000000;">Leg sweep is the last common freestyle wrestling move we will discuss. This involves the sweeping of the opponent’s legs for him/her to be out balance and fall down. First is you have to hold your opponent’s upper chest area and sweep his legs using your one leg from the under. While you are sweeping his legs, push him to the opposite direction so that he will fall down on the floor and you will gain points.</span></p><p>The post <a

Then, during defense, keep it tight and always look at your opponent to defend better and do a possible counter attack.</span></li><li><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Level Change</strong> &#8211; Level change refers to the move you will do when executing an attack or a defense. It is when you move your hips up or down from your normal stance. For example, you will normally lower your hips when preparing to attack using a takedown. Then also when trying to escape a take down from your opponent, you will raise your hip and then avoid the attack. That is a level change. Reversal is a move when you act like you are defending but actually waiting for the opponent to attack. When the opponent is already attacking, you will then be on offensive.</span></li><li><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Escape</strong> – This is a move to stay away from your opponent. An escape can be used also when being cornered.</span></li><li><span

style="color: #000000;">It is very essential to prepare your mind and body when you want to start wrestling. Being mentally prepared and physically fit will help you reach your highest potential on this kind of combat sport. <a
href="http://www.encyclopedia.com/sports-and-everyday-life/sports/sports/wrestling" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Wrestling</a> is not just based on how strong you are or how quick you are on the ring. Your presence of mind is also very important because it will be the one which will guide you throughout the game. But the questions are, how will you prepare both your mind and body?  What are the best practices you should do?</span></p><p
style="text-align: justify;"><span
id="more-143"></span></p><p
style="text-align: justify;"><span
style="color: #000000;">Below are the most important wrestling mental and physical preparations that you can do even just by yourself. Follow all of these to stay fit and mentally prepared the next time you will do wrestling.</span></p><h2 style="text-align: justify;"><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Physical Preparation<img
class=" wp-image-144 alignright" src="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/wrestling-preparation-1.png?9018d1" alt="wrestling preparation 1" width="509" height="346" srcset="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/wrestling-preparation-1.png 956w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/wrestling-preparation-1-300x204.png 300w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/wrestling-preparation-1-768x521.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 509px) 100vw, 509px" /></strong></span></h2><ul
style="text-align: justify;"><li><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Have a proper rest. </strong>It is very important if you are well rested before you do anything that is very tiresome like wrestling. Be sure to sleep 8 hours every night.</span></li><li><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Proper diet and vitamins.</strong> Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. You can also visit your doctor so that he can prescribe you proper vitamins for your body. Be extra cautious with your diet and your body.</span></li><li><span
style="color: #000000;">Do jogging and other types of endurance exercises every day. This is the most effective way of improving your body’s endurance.</span></li><li><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Hit the gym.</strong> Strength is very important in wrestling. You will have more advantage to your opponent if you have stronger than him. So be sure to hit the gym and lift some weights.</span></li><li><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Practice some loosening exercises. </strong>Being flexible is also important to wrestling and you can have it if you practice loosening exercises every before and after wrestling practice. You can ask your wrestling coach or better yet, search on the net the most effective loosening exercises you can do.</span></li><li><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Drink right amount of water. </strong>It is very important when you want to maintain the right body and weight. Because drinking too much or too less of water will result to unhealthiness or undesirable weight. You can talk to your fitness coach for more information about it or there is much free info in regards to this one on the internet that you can read anytime.</span></li></ul><h2 style="text-align: justify;"><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Mental Preparation</strong></span></h2><p><img

style="color: #000000;"><strong>Always think that you can win. </strong>It is very useful to do not just in wrestling but in almost any kind of sport. Think and act that you can win the match. Do not think of other things except for winning. Think of it in your practice, in your sparing matches or even if you are eating. It will surely improve your performance during the match. Some call this as the “I CAN WIN FORMULA”. Trust me, it is very effective.</span><ul><li><span

style="color: #000000;">Mixed Martial Arts or commonly known as MMA is a full-contact combat sport that allows the use of different fighting styles like boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, karate, Muay Thai, Vale Tudo, Brazilian Ju jitsu and other fighting styles throughout the world. It became so popular during the early 1900s.</span><span

style="text-align: justify;"><span
style="color: #000000;"> The first regulated MMA league in the United States was created by CV Productions in 1980 and they named it as<img
class=" wp-image-11 alignright" src="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/UFC.jpg?9018d1" alt="UFC logo" width="501" height="248" srcset="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/UFC.jpg 600w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/UFC-300x149.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 501px) 100vw, 501px" /> “Tough Guy Contest”. Later, it was named as “Battle Of The Superfighters” that sanctioned tournaments in Pennsylvania. But the bad news is in 1983 when the Pennsylvania State Senate pass a bill that prohibits this sport. Vale Tudo, a combat sport in Brazil that was developed in 1920s was then brought in United States by the Gracie Family in 1993. This event was then followed by the founding of the Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC on the same year. This was establish for them to know what is the most effective Martial Arts for unarmed combat situations. This time, <a
href="http://www.ufc.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">UFC</a> is the most famous MMA league in the world. But there are other famous MMA leagues throughout the world also like Bellator MMA, Invicta Fighting Championship and ONE Championship (One FC).</span></p><h2 style="text-align: justify;"><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Battle Of The MMA Fighters</strong></span></h2><p
style="text-align: justify;"><span
style="color: #000000;">The MMA battle takes place on a close ring or a cage with no equipments. They are only wearing shorts and a thin MMA gloves. No other equipment needed and they are just barefoot during the match. The fighters are <img
class="alignleft wp-image-15" src="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/MMA-Battle.jpg?9018d1" alt="mma battle - octagon ring" width="531" height="325" srcset="http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/MMA-Battle.jpg 650w, http://freedom-fight.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/MMA-Battle-300x184.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px" />allowed to use their own fighting techniques. They can punch, kick and grab just to knockout their opponent and win the match. This battle style was from the origin of MMA, the Vale Tudo that has an English meaning of “anything goes”.</span><br
/> <span
style="color: #000000;"> There are some rules on MMA that is similar to Boxing and Wrestling. The fighter has 3 ways to win the match. Fighter can win by knocking out the opponent so that he will be unable to continue the match anymore. A fighter can also win by holding the opponent and forcing to submission. The last way is to finish the fight and win by the judges’ decision. The judges’ decision can be unanimous or a split decision. If the decision is split then the majority of the decision will be the final one. </span><br
/> <span
style="color: #000000;"> MMA has 10 weight classes according to the Unified Rules. These weight classes are listed below.</span></p><h2 style="text-align: justify;"><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>MMA Weight Classes</strong></span></h2><ul

style="color: #000000;"><strong>Lightweight</strong> &#8211; up to 155 lb (70.3 kg; 11.1 st)</span></li></ul><ul

style="color: #000000;"><strong>Welterweight</strong> &#8211; up to 170 lb (77.1 kg; 12.1 st)</span></li></ul><ul
style="text-align: justify;"><li><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Middleweight</strong> &#8211; up to 185 lb (83.9 kg; 13.2 st)</span></li></ul><ul

style="color: #000000;"><strong>Heavyweight</strong> &#8211; up to 265 lb (120.2 kg; 18.9 st)</span></li></ul><ul
style="text-align: justify;"><li><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Super Heavyweight</strong> &#8211; N/A</span></li></ul><p
style="text-align: justify;"><span
style="color: #000000;"><strong>Note:</strong> 1 lb grace limit is allowed to non-title bouts.</span><br
/> <span
style="color: #000000;"> Some leagues have different weight classes but most leagues are following the Unified Rules for the weight classes. The ring or cage of the Mixed Martial Arts fight differs on each league. Some are circle shape, some are 8 sided, 9 sided, 6 sided and there are some cages also that are just the same with the boxing ring. But even there are many MMA leagues in the world and they are different from one another, the contest is still the same. That is to win and to be the best on an MMA cage. No matter what fighting style you have as long as you will follow the rules.</span></p><p>The post <a
